The bad news -- Merlin’s Fire can only be quenched with dragon’s blood.

I'm guessing this is BP's entry? Beautiful work, the light is perfect. My only very slight concern is the shadow on the castle, maybe (maybe) would move more to the viewers right, given the strong light source. But maybe not, and that's being unduly harsh, anyway. Excellent work.

*gasp* What a gorgeous dawn sky and perfect lighting of the scene! The flaming vortex spinning into the clouds is supremely awesome!
I wonder what is going through the knight's mind as he watches.

I was wondering if i'd spot the BPK piece and WOW it's amazing. Again the lighting is spot on, dramatic and beautiful. The scene is very powerful and... WOW just WOW!

Yes, and just in time. The competition your fantasy series attracts is daunting and understandably so. I think many of us consider these contests the cream of the crop.
