As the light of the early morning sun hits the pods, they start to emerge, weak from their long confinement and struggling against the tough shells that kept them safe throughout their time of change. Soon their new wings will be strong enough for the breeze to lightly lift them off their perches and carry them far away.

Your links dont work in my PC for some reason,so I'll have to come back'n vote'n see later on...but what I see now is like WOOOWWW!!!!
Very impressive. Nice work!
I like how you used jellyfish for the cocoons.
Absolutely beautiful and amazing. The depth of field, details and overall WOW factor makes this a 10. Superb entry.
I came back and saw again: STUNNING!!
Excellent! I fairly certain with no difficulty this will take top marks!
I Love your translucency with the wings and the pod she is emerging from.
Watching the WIP was fascinating. I especially enjoyed the formation of the wings and find it clever that you utilized her arms as the source.
Well played.
Love the main sprite! Great flow to it, great pose, and the pod is great as well. I think the other two sprites look a bit tacked on and don't really fit, not sure if it is their poses or what. I also would have preferred a slightly shallower depth of field so that the branches aren't so distracting. Good job.
Such a fantastic entry. Absolutely wonderful work on the wings especially.
WOW! The front creature is phenomenal! I also love the way you created it.
My only crit is that the all those branches are making the composition a little busy. But thatīs only a minor thing.
Congrats on such a great piece of art!
Dear god, woman...I'm thinking of taking up a collection so that you can quit your job and chop all day long instead. About 20 seconds into viewing full I realised I hadn't been breathing. Your eye for colour has always been second to none--Autumn often gets overlooked by artists for her showier sister winter, but you've shown how breathtaking the subtle palette of the season can be. The drooping, gelatinous pod sacs; the newly hatched, crinkled wings; the glistening, otherworldly skin--YES! I'll probably get placed on the w1k blacklist for criticising your work, but one niggle I have is with the presence of the second sprite--she looks a bit wooden next to the fantastic posturing of the main one, and for me the image doesn't need her (or even the third one) to tell its story. The only other tiny thing is the hair of the main sprite--perhaps a bit too groomed, dry, and gunk-free for having just hatched? Perhaps not, though--it really doesn't detract at all from the image. Thank you so much once again for your art.
i gotta say, i'm really sad that you chose that backround. it is so busy with everything its hard to focus on one thing and you just get lost in the branches. the wings and biggest sprite is AMAZING. the whole thing is soo well done. but the backround is way too busy which makes it hard to focuss

CONGRATULATIONS ON THAT MEGAFANTASTIC WORK!
Dough!! congratulations!!!! (spoken begrudgingly through gritted teeth.) Ya beat me fair and square on the overall points. Sigh....8.99 beats 8.959.....sigh.
