RULES: The rules for this contest are thus: colorize this SPOOKY CHURCH - (courtesy of v1ctory_1s_m1ne @ Flickr)
Your main goal in this contest is to create a realistic interpretation of what the supplied image would've looked like as a color photograph. You should strive to create an image that anyone would mistake for a real photo if they didn't know it was colorized. Realism and believability are the key words.
HOWEVER, in this contest you will be allowed to "embellish" your image adding spooky lighting, lightening, rain, fog, or anything that you can draw/create with the standard Photoshop brushes and filters.
Here are examples of what we're expecting:
One
Two
Three
You may ONLY use the original b/w source image. No additional source images are allowed...no full moons and no bats unless you draw them yourself. This is first and foremost a coloring challenge. Let's see your coloring ability, not your ability to integrate/blend in source images.
In short, no using custom brushes, no integrating outside sources.
Rule breaks may result in disqualification of an entry.
VOTING UPDATE: With w3k, the rules for voting in an HxH have changed. You are now free to decide whether you vote or not. This can be an individual choice.
Lot of work to do, but I'm a glutton for punishment. Count me in. :P
I'm here! Got lost trying to find the forums, and almost wound up in jail? Anyway, you knew I'd show up! Oh yeah, OF COURSE I'M IN (would have made this a fancy color, but never learned that in the old Worth either - ha) :)

Who KNOWS what happens in the dungeons of Worth...you best stay clear. ;)
Glad you found us...I would have come looking for you.
Are you still looking for one more? Got Photoshop loaded on my new mac now :-)
Sorry...yes, thanks, I'll join. Could use a sponsor.
Yay! I'm glad you could make it. :)
Send me a message when you upload (tomorrow), and I'll sponsor you. :):P
No...but Bob will probably have it done though. :)
I posted my finished entry. Can I play now? :)
You're in TT.
Also I updated the initial post with important voting information:

Edited for clarity.
Any hint of what will the new rules be for voting in the H2H's???
I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. The rules for voting are what you see above.
We haven't finalized the other rules for H2H, like eligibility requirements, so until those are hammered out we won't post the official H2H rules.
As far as voting is concerned, it's now optional. I'll update my post to clarify.
Thanks Pixel :)
Whoa, colorizing people is WAY easier than buildings. xD
Good thing i have till the end of the month.
